Bring, Build, Send

We are a church on mission to make Jesus known!  God in his great love has made himself known to us and we have responded to his love in Jesus in faith.  As disciples of Jesus we are then commissioned to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth.  Our particular mission field is the city fringe and Eastern Suburbs along with the connections we have through school, uni, work, social clubs and family.

It is a great privilege and an important responsibility to be Jesus’ witnesses.  As we launch our 2016 year, I pray that we will all commit ourselves afresh to be God’s church, to be his witnesses, to declare his glory.  Pray that God will strengthen us by his Holy Spirit to fulfil his call to us to be his church on mission to make Jesus known.

Paul, the great apostle to the Gentiles writes:

‘ “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him?  And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent?’  Romans 10:13-15

Exciting times ahead because we have a wonderful and powerful God whose desire is for all to know and respond to him.

Grace and peace,  David Bassett (Senior Minister)
